REVIEW! Ferrero Tronky

Ferrero Tronky

This bar is called a Tronky and is from Italian chocolate makers Ferrero.  I am a big fan of Ferrero products, especially Nutella and Raffaello!

A Tronky is a crunchy wafer filled with a hazelnuts and chocolate filling.  It weighs just 18g and contains only 100 calories.  It is around the size of one stick of a Kinder Bueno (also made by Ferrero).

Ferrero Tronky

The wafer is all in one piece, unlike the little sections that you get in a Bueno.  It is light, thin and crispy and has a pattern on it that makes it look like a stick or a log.  It is very similar to the wafer used in a Ferrero Rocher.

Ferrero Tronky

The inside is delicious, it is basically Nutella with little pieces of crunchy hazelnut.  I really enjoyed the thick chocolatey filling.

Verdict
The Tronky was very nice but I couldn't help thinking that it is a poor man's Ferrero Rocher.  Tronky seems to be designed as a light snack at 100 calories but for 74 calories, I can have a chocolate covered yummier version of this in the form of a proper Ferrero Rocher!  Even though a Ferrero Rocher is smaller, I would still chose one of those over a Tronky every time!

  1. OOOO now, this looks yummy yum yum :D! Have never seen these before actually, where did you get it? I absolutley love ferrero products, lets face it... Nutella is my undoing haha, and kinder bueno is like heaven in a bar. So I think ''tronkey'' sounds delicious :)! Defiantly must look out for these funny named bars :), Great review, Hannah!!

    1. I found this in Orlando but it's European so I would be surprised if they aren't sold here some where.
